About Michael Lederman

For more than 12 years, Michael Lederman has had the privilege of helping clients buy and sell homes in the DC Metropolitan Area. He loves what he does and takes the responsibility of representing his clients very seriously. His approach is grounded in listening carefully, offering thoughtful advice, managing each step of the process with precision, and negotiating fiercely on his clients’ behalf.

A native of Northern Virginia, Michael now lives in Capitol Hill with his wife, Meredith, their two daughters, Cori and Wynnie, and their dog, Theo. He is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia, where he studied psychology and urban planning. He also received teaching certifications at Trinity Washington University and American University, and prior to real estate, he worked as a teacher in the DC Public School System. His background in psychology and education continues to shape his work today—helping him connect with clients, understand their needs, and guide them with clarity and care.

Community is also at the heart of Michael’s work. He views supporting and staying connected to the neighborhood as an essential part of being an informed real estate agent, and actively demonstrates this commitment through organizing regular neighborhood trash clean-ups and support for local organizations such as Maury Elementary School, Hill Family Biking, the Anacostia Watershed Society, and Casey Trees.
